The Typing Service

General

  1. All of the content contained within this website is the property of The Typing Service ("TTS") unless otherwise stated.  No contents whatsoever may be reproduced in any form without prior written consent.

  2. Any information provided to and held by TTS regarding its clients will be seen only by TTS or its staff and will not be provided to a third party at any time.

  3. The confidentiality of the client will be maintained at all times and hard copies of any client documents will be kept overnight in a lockable container.  Similarly electronic versions of client documents will be password protected whilst being worked on at TTS.

  4. On rare occasions, TTS may discover conflicts if they are working on documents for clients on opposing sides of a Court case.  In that event all work will cease immediately and both clients will be contacted and permission obtained to continue.

Processing Work

  1. Work will only be accepted by TTS when it is accompanied by the appropriate input form and any necessary payment (see payment below).

  2. Any amendments to pre-typed drafts must be marked in red and returned with the input form.

  3. Once the job is completed then a read-only version will be sent via e-mail or a hard copy sent via snail mail, whichever is the client's preferred delivery method*.  The electronic copy will be password protected to prevent modification by anyone other than an employee of TTS.

*Note: Only documents for which TTS has received payment in full can be returned in hard copy format.

Payment

  1. TTS can only accept payment via cheque or through bank transfer directly into our bank account.
  2. As TTS do not consider any job to be too big or too small there is no minimum charge.  However, any fees and charges for a job are rounded up or down to the nearest £0.50.
  3. New clients should enclose a deposit cheque for £25.00 made payable to "Miss L M Parry" and crossed "A/C Payee Only".  This sum will be deducted from the balance owing on completion of the job.  Should the charges for the job amount to less than the amount of £25.00 then the excess amount will be deducted from future work carried out on the client's behalf by TTS.
  4. Once a job is completed it is delivered to the client with an invoice.  This invoice becomes payable within 14 days of the date of the invoice.  Once that payment is received the password will be released to the client.
  5. All hard copy drafts of documents will be returned to the client with the hard copy document.  Any electronic version of the client document will be held for one month by TTS before being deleted.  If the client wishes the document to be stored on a CD-Rom then once this has been done it will be removed from our network.

Receipt and Delivery

  1. Jobs may be received by TTS either by e-mail or by snail mail.  For the snail mail address please see the Contact page.  When sending by e-mail an acknowledgement will be sent immediately.

  2. When the job is completed it will be returned via e-mail or snail mail.  Postage is charged at the standard Royal Mail rate and the client should stipulate in the delivery section of the input form whether their document should be returned by First Class, Registered or Recorded Delivery post.  If the client's business address is in Liverpool then their document may be returned in person by an employee of TTS - a standard charge of £2.50 is payable for this service.
